Jonah Coleman - Running Back - Washington

1 - Movement Economy

2 - Movement Toolbox & Skillset as a Receiver

3 - Through Contact Tools

A+ movement economy & solutions during penetration. Best in class trait for Coleman who does have limitations across the rest of his game.

The between-the-ears aspects set him up for being one of those backs that will stick around the league for a while because of how reliable he is down to down. Can keep an offense on schedule in a similar fashion to Tyler Allgeier, with lesser solutions through contact.

Not creative nor dynamic. Doesn’t offer much in terms of working in open space - backers & safeties at the next level are too fundamentally sound when working downhill.

Coleman’s efficiency around the LOS can be a bandage to his shortcomings in open areas because of this his work as a receiver is rudimentary. Solely an outlet option who doesn’t have the tools to be a difference maker on screens.

Is good, but not great though contact. When he can square up defenders his stature is an aid to uppercutting them & forcing missed tackles. Doesn’t offer an abundance of solutions - can disappoint through low contact & get tripped up at shin level.

Needs to work on keeping square through engagements with his stature if he wants long term secondary opportunities. Does not profile as a long term RB1, however he is a capable replacement in a pinch that will keep his offense on schedule.

Best in class as a pass protector regularly knocks defenders off path & keeps his Quarterback clean. His combination of stature & play strength show up big time.
