Chris Brazzell II - Wide Receiver - Tennessee

1 - Separation Skillset

2 - Game constraints & Inconsistencies

Good snap & break mechanics for 6’4. Isn’t just a vertical boundary receiver, has the tools to run a complete tree. Brazzell’s capabilities in deceleration are impressive with his length - an extremely difficult assignment due to this.

Don’t see a lot of double moves on his tape or “big boy” routes, however that is typical of Tennessee’s system - he has the ability, just needs the trust of his coordinator at the next level.

Absolute blazing speed with rare acceleration qualities for his height. Gets on the hip of the defensive back quickly, and is a threat to score on any touch. He doesn’t utilize his speed well post-catch - becomes a one-gear runner who lacks a lateral toolbox in this area.

The area of growth for him is in the contested arena.  Inconsistent as a ball winner, and can have drop issues on plays that he “should make.”

Like a lot of his tape, shows ability to win the ball & be a playmaker in the air just needs more consistency there.

The Georgia game is the “wow” type upside he possesses. Was confident, and strong at the catch point. Has primary receiver traits if he can haress the consistency. Reminds me a lot of D.J Chark who had a 1,000 yard receiving season back in 2019.
